The AC Hub is a dedicated Alternative Provision for 11–16-year-olds, housing both The Aspire Project and The Alternative College.
Both programmes are accessed through referrals from mainstream schools, Virtual School, Surrey SEN and other professionals. As part of the Inclusive Education Trust, our collaboration unlocks a network of expertise and specialized resources designed to elevate student outcomes. Through shared systems and stronger professional ties, we are better equipped to support every student’s journey toward success and wellbeing.
We specialize in supporting students who have encountered barriers to their learning in mainstream settings. Our provision bridges the gap for those needing a more bespoke curriculum or a temporary space to reset and refocus. Through a mix of targeted interventions and hybrid placements, we ensure that every student - regardless of their previous challenges - has a viable pathway to progress.
The Aspire Project provides a comprehensive vocational curriculum tailored for Key Stage 4 students, typically delivered over two or three days per week. Students can specialize in a variety of hands-on subjects, such as Construction, Hair & Beauty, and Home Cooking Skills, gaining practical experience and achieving recognised qualifications to help in their future careers.
Meanwhile, The Alternative College prioritises core studies in Maths and English alongside PSHE. By addressing individual learning gaps, we ensure students are fully prepared for their next chapter, whether they are returning to mainstream education, moving to a more appropriate school or transitioning to their chosen Post-16 destination.
